Turkey Hunting Decoys:
Decoys are an extemely useful tool for turkey hunting; not only do they hopefully lure the turkey in your direction, they also serve as a focus of attention for the turkey while you are waiting for a shot.
Singles, pairs, flocks, or "breeding pairs?"
They all work at times, so try some variations.
Beginners are advised to "keep it simple," and not get too carried away. Make sure to place your decoy(s) in an appropriate location where the angle and distance works to your advantage. Keep in mind that a "Jake" (immature gobbler) decoy near a hen may make a gobbler get really fired up, but a decoy depicting a mature gobbler may frighten away lesser males. That's OK if you are truly trying to shoot the dominant gobbler in an area, but it may lower your chances of getting a shot!
